![]() It worked on my MacBook Pro with that stream. Try for instance viewing & copying Stage 9 Highlights narrated by Phil Liggett (03:49 english) - versus from Īnd why can't I copy the same file twice w/o having to restart my Mac? Any idea what is up with that? So is that my problem, missing some codec from the web video file? And what is that?!?! "filename.flv" was not added because a required codec is missing (VP6F).īTW, filename is some long #. So then when I try and drag to the main Popcorn 4 window I get the message: Here are the specs on the "blank video" file: Does it give any specs for the video or does it just report the audio specs? If there are video specs, what are they? Also, let me know a location where you've captured one of these videos so I can see if I experience the same thing. When you drag one of those captures to the main Popcorn window (such as with Video Files selected in the Convert tab) there should be a description of its specs below the title. This is going to be harder to solve because I haven't encountered that problem. That is the only reason I need Popcorn 4- to recording Web videos! I watch a lot of cycling races from Europe and wanted to be able to record them like on a DVR so I don't have to be in front of the computer during the time of the actual race, or so I can archive the races.Ĭan you wave your magic wand again for me Digital Guru? Or suggest another program that will record Web videos, especially streaming videos from the web. But that is a real pain to have to shut down my computer! I have found if I restart the Mac, I can re-record that video again from the Web, but I get the same results. I noted another thread on this same problem and it was never resolved. And even more frustrating, when I try and record the same video again from the web, it doesn't do anything- no file is added to the Web Video window. ![]() ![]() thanks!īut I still have the same issues w/ recording Web videos in OS 10.6 as I had in 10.5!! Looks like it works, double click the video in the Web Video window and I get the audio but the video is all black. You da man! I changed the Popcorn 4 folder in Applications to "Popcorn 4 old" and then all went fine. Test by going to YouTube because those definitely work. The streaming Web video should work without problems. That way the new one doesn't have to automatically replace the older one. Either rename or trash the original Popcorn 4 folder before dragging in the new one.
